How Proud You Must Be  / Dawn

Today I met Jodi, I'm actually teaching her how to train Madi. :)  I noticed she was wearing a bracelet and it had some engravings on it but I was never able to read it completely. I came to find out about you through the memorial she has displayed on her truck. She spoke of you briefly and I could see the pride and love in her eyes.

I am amazed by this woman, who says she gets up at 4:30am to go to the gym, then goes to college, THEN .. goes to her son's school and volunteers each day .. THEN .. well, the list goes on and on.  I know you must be watching over her and your son, feeling so proud of what she is accomplishing. Having only met her for the first time today, she has my utmost respect for what she is accomplishing. She is so happy, so friendly and so full of life.  I feel lucky to have met her today and I look forward to continuing to get to know her. Through her, I may get to know a bit about you as well, at least I hope to be so lucky to find out more about you.

Thank you for your commitment to bettering our country and keeping it safe. Your hard work, bravery and dedication does not go unnoticed.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family, friends and fellow soldiers.

    Goodness where do I start. I know while we were growing up we were together all the time because your mom would watch my sister and I.  And I took all that for granted.  Now that you are gone I am so upset at myself for letting us get so far seperated after graduation, and I know once you leave highschool everyone goes their own way.  But I still remember that one day I saw you at Mcdonalds and we got to talk and catch up in a matter of like 15 minutes it was almost as though time didn't skip a beat, like were were still as close as we were growing up.  You would be happy to know that I made your family a very special blanket.  I was so proud of myself to be able to accomplish something so special not only in your honor but for your family as well, I know it will be something that will forever be in your family.  To let all of your neices or nephews to come in the future that they will know how much you mean to everyone that ever had the pleasure to know you and call you a friend.  I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to say goodbye to you, but i want you to know that I am always thinking about you.  I didn't come and see you when it was time for everyone's last good byes for now.  I only didn't come because I wanted to remember the warm smile that you gave me and the hug that I recieved from you because I always thought of you more of the brother that I didn't have.  We were always in the same classes growing up.  I go and visit your page everyday on myspace to see your picture because then I have all of these happy memories that definatley out weigh the bad ones.  I will come and visit you one day soon.  I know your birthday is also coming up.  Man I miss you.  So when I go outside at night I look up at the stars and talk to you, And I know you can hear me because on those clear nights i  feel that you are here with me and helping with whatever I'm talking about.

It been about 7 months since you were taking from our lives.... the days are getting long and there not getting any easier. I see the pain on everyones face when your name is mentioned... a pain so deep that I know, no matter what, nothings going to make it better. Growing up with your family has been one of the best experiences in my life, seeing the love you all shared, the trust you all had, the bond that couldnt be broke.  I walk in your house and you are everywhere and I actually forget for a moment that you are gone. I just hope wherever you are you are looking over her....shes so lost without you (you know who I mean). They are all so lost without you. Miss you Brandon.....

I still can't believe you're gone Brandon. I honestly don't think this will ever get easier for any of us. It'll be 3 months on the 19th of this month, and it's had to have been the hardest 3 months of everyone's life. I got old pictures out not long after you left us.....the parties Lauren and I used to have. The nights on "Bob Bis" farm, and of course, the nights at the Washington House and the Archway. You were a great friend, someone who was always willing to help anyone in any way that you could. Your smile was a ray of sunshine, and you were so sincere. I want you to know that even though you are not here with us physically, your spirit lives in all of us each day. We hope you will watch down on us, and keep us safe through our lives.....We love you very much, and we will meet again someday :) Close
